Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista

to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant food industry setting, engaging with customers and honing skills in food preparation, cashiering, and food safety. Previous barista experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure you succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks with precision and consistency Prepare sandwich and bowls Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling Manage customer orders efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling drinks, snacks, and light food items Ensure food safety and proper handling of all food items according to health regulations Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and dining space in compliance with safety standards Manage cash register operations accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for transactions Assist with stocking supplies and inventory management as needed Provide a welcoming atmosphere to all customers, ensuring their experience is positive

Requirements

Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $17.85-$22.00 per hour
