We're a community-driven cafe on Burke Mountain, known for quality drinks, thoughtful food, and genuine hospitality. We work hard, support each other, and take real pride in what we do. As we continue to grow, we're looking to add one standout FOH / Barista to the Ibex family.

You don't need years of cafe experience, but you do need real work experience and the ability to stay composed when retail gets hectic.

Who This Role Is For

This position is ideal for someone who may be new to the cafe industry, but:

Has worked in retail, hospitality, or customer-facing roles Understands how intense rushes can get Can work under pressure without losing professionalism Learns fast and applies feedback immediately Is mouldable and open to doing things the Ibex way

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve espresso-based and specialty drinks (training provided) Deliver warm, genuine, and efficient customer service Take orders and confidently guide guests through our menu Maintain cleanliness and organization of FOH and bar areas Follow Ibex workflows, recipes, and service standards Support the team during peak periods with focus and composure
Requirements

Previous work experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure Excellent communication and people skills Willingness to learn and adapt quickly Serve It Right certification (mandatory) Weekend and peak-hour availability Legal eligibility to work in Canada
