Summary



Barista to join our opening team at a new cafe concept in Vancouver. The role involves preparing high-quality chai, coffee, and specialty beverages, providing excellent customer service, and helping create a welcoming and memorable guest experience. Responsibilities



Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and tea beverages.



Prepare and serve high-quality chai, coffee, espresso-based, and specialty beverages with consistency and attention to detail. Provide warm, attentive, and friendly customer service to ensure every guest feels welcome. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe, including the barista station, seating areas, and equipment. Handle cash, POS transactions, and follow proper cash-handling procedures. Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and rotating products. Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times. Support cafe team with light food preparation and service as needed. Contribute ideas and feedback to improve menu items, service, and guest experience. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations. Represent the cafe's values by creating a positive and inviting atmosphere for guests.

Qualifications


Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role is required.



Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively. Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices. Proficiency in using POS systems, including Micros POS is preferred. Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
