Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to provide exceptional customer service and maintain a clean and organized workspace will contribute to the overall success of our establishment.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for order processing and cash handling. Maintain food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness and organization in food preparation areas. Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions they may have. Manage time effectively during busy periods, ensuring timely service without compromising quality. Handle cash transactions accurately, including giving change and processing credit card payments. Keep the workspace clean, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and restocking supplies as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

Requirements

Previous experience in the food industry or customer service is preferred but not required. Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor to engage with customers effectively. Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Pay: From $17.85 per hour
