The Modern Pantry in West Van is hiring!
We\'re a from-scratch bakery and cafe serving light meals, interesting pastries, and awesome coffee. Recently licensed, we are carrying interesting wines and local beers.

The ideal candidate is excited about food (talking about it, eating it, and learning more about it) and building community. We value team players who show up to work on time and genuinely care about doing a good job. Tons of opportunity exists for building new skills in the kitchen or behind the scenes in administration and operations for the right people as we continue to grow, as well as supervisory and managerial positions.

Hours are between 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Tuesday to Sunday.

All staff must be available for a minimum of one opening shift and one weekend day per week. Full time and part time applicants will be considered.

For the months of November and December we\'re doing a pop-up brunch service so restaurant serving experience would be ideal.
We\'re looking for the following attributes: \xe2\x80\x93 Just an all-around great person to spend our days with \xe2\x80\x93 Barista experience \xe2\x80\x93 Knowledge of espresso-based drinks and a willingness to learn our techniques \xe2\x80\x93 A passion for the industry and connecting with our customers \xe2\x80\x93 A positive attitude and strong attention to detail \xe2\x80\x93 An ability to work alone or as an efficient member of a team \xe2\x80\x93 A desire to work with a small and family oriented team, which means pitching in with whatever the project of the day is \xe2\x80\x93 An understanding of health and safety regulations and willingness to take measures to uphold them Foodsafe Level 1 and Serving it Right are required and must be obtained in the first week of employment if not currently held
