Description:

Otto's Cache is Jasper's first locally owned cafe, bakery and curated provisions market. Serving an expertise and craftsmanship of a new era of Jasper hospitality offerings. In Spring 2025, Otto's Cache will open its doors to Jasper National Park. The cafe/bakery focus will be on both dine-in and take-away offerings. Serving specialty coffee, fresh baked goods, sandwiches, salads. The market's main focus will be providing our community with locally sourced, exciting artisanal provisions, making great food accessible to our community year round. All made possible by local Canadian suppliers.



We're looking for a Barista to join the team, brewing delicious coffee with a focus on serving quality specialty coffee to Jasper while delivering a fun and engaging customer experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Engaging with staff and customers about our coffee, menu and brand Preparing specialty coffee beverages Performing latte art on prepared beverages Greeting and taking orders from customers Handling cash and taking payments Ensuring all bake cases, fridges and products in the cafe are stocked and looking presentable Running food to customers Pouring and serving of alcohol Upholding high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety in the cafe

Requirements:

A passion for specialty coffee and customer service 1+ years experience in a barista role, ideally brewing specialty coffee High quality barista skills and knowledge (latte art, dialling in, equipment maintenance, trouble-shooting etc.) Alberta Pro-Serve A strong work ethic with a customer-focused attitude A positive, friendly and professional demeanour The ability to work in a fast-paced cafe environment, multi-task and communicate Handle customer complaints and queries in a professional and courteous manner
