Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate Barista with espresso machine experience to join our team! This is a casual role for the months of September and October, hourly rate plus tips. The Barista would work inside our Coffee and Dairy Bar food truck which is parked at our farm market

.

We are open Thursday - Sunday, with most shifts being on the weekend or Thursday/Friday afternoons. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that every guest has a memorable experience at our establishment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, as well as food items, in accordance with established recipes and standards. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer orders and payments. Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers, answering questions, and making recommendations based on their preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of food and beverage supplies. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Handle cashiering duties accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for transactions.

Experience

Minimum 2 years as a barista (or similar role with coffee/tea experience) required. Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Food Handler certificate is an asset Basic knowledge of cashiering processes and math skills for accurate transactions. A passion for coffee and beverage preparation is highly desirable. Must have a reliable method of transportation as our farm is not on public transit
