Position Overview:



We are seeking dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to fill the dual roles of Barista and Sous Chef. In this unique position, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service as a Barista and assisting in the kitchen as a Sous Chef. If you have a love for chocolate and a flair for both coffee and culinary arts, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:



Barista Responsibilities:



Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, including espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, and specialty teas. Provide exceptional customer service, taking orders, and addressing customer inquiries and concerns with a friendly attitude. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and maintained. Manage inventory and restock supplies as needed. Uphold The Chocolate Room's standards for quality and presentation.

Sous Chef Responsibilities:



Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of chocolate-based dishes, pastries, and desserts according to established recipes and standards. Help with inventory management, including ordering and receiving supplies. Ensure kitchen cleanliness and adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Collaborate with the head chef to develop and refine new menu items. Assist in training and supervising kitchen staff as needed. Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations across all product categories, with a strong focus on preparing savory food items and ensuring each menu item is prepared on time, fresh, and presented in a visually appealing manner.

Qualifications:



Previous experience as a Barista and/or Sous Chef preferred. Strong passion for chocolate and a creative approach to its use in both beverages and food. Excellent customer service skills with a positive and friendly attitude. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Pay: $17.20-$17.40 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 45 per week
