We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to standard recipes. Operate the POS system efficiently for order processing and cash handling. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop, including equipment and work areas. Assist customers with their selections, providing recommendations and answering questions about menu items. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices. Manage inventory levels of food and beverage supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy.

Qualifications

Previous experience in the food service or food industry is preferred but not required. Strong math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential; certification in food handling is an advantage. A friendly demeanor with strong communication skills to engage effectively with customers. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Pay: From $15.50 per hour
