FiN FOLK FOOD is a fun, easy going restaurant and oyster bar, serving casual seafood classics using local products. As the Bar Manager, it is your responsibility to contribute to overall guest satisfaction by ensuring bar service is delivered to guests in a timely manner and to the highest standard.

Assistant Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the daily operations of the bar, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and service.
Ensure all drinks are prepared according to company and legal guidelines.
Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues promptly.
Recruit, train, and supervise bartenders and bar staff.
Create and manage work schedules to ensure proper staffing levels.
Motivate and support team members to maintain high morale and performance.
Conduct staff meetings and training sessions on service standards and safety.
Monitor and control the bar's budget, expenses, and sales performance.
Manage cash handling and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Oversee inventory, stock orders, and supplier negotiations.
Reduce waste and control costs by implementing efficient inventory tracking.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through quality service.
Develop and implement promotions or events to attract customers.
Create and update drink menus, considering trends and customer preferences.
Foster a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for guests.
Ensure compliance with provincial and federal alcohol regulations.
Maintain proper licensing and health and safety standards.
Train staff on responsible alcohol service and emergency procedures.
Implement and enforce bar policies regarding intoxicated customers.
Qualifications & Skills:
5 + years of experience in bar management.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Knowledge of mixology, cocktails, and beverage service.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Proficiency in POS systems and inventory management software.
Certification in responsible alcohol service - Smart serve
