Alobar Downtown is seeking a passionate and experienced Bar Manager. An ideal candidate in this role has experience working in a fine dining setting (tasting menus), WSET Level 2/3 or comparable experience with wine, and is committed to providing exceptional guest experiences. Experience in a Michelin recognized restaurant is a strong asset.
Responsibilities:
- Interview, hire, and train bar staff
- Supervise bartenders and front of house staff working at The Bar at Alo
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of bar supplies
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Develop and implement signature cocktails, regularly updating the bar offerings
- Ensure beverage offerings fall within costing guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
- Working dinner service behind the wood, ensuring timely creation of expertly crafted cocktails and maintaining exceptional standards of service.
- Work collaboratively with the dining room team to ensure all guests have an exceptional experience.
- Assist in managing the dining room team on a regular basis

Experience:
- Proven experience in bartending and restaurant management
- Strong knowledge of food, particularly luxury items
- Passion for all things beverage, including confidence in wine knowledge
- Ability to supervise and lead a team effectively
