We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Manager to lead our bar operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food and beverage industry, with a focus on bar management, customer service, and team leadership. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing daily operations, staff supervision, and maintaining high standards of drinks safety and quality.
Duties
Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring efficient service and adherence to company policies.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
Supervise and train bar staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging teamwork.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards.
Develop creative drink menus that align with current trends while catering to customer preferences.
Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new bar staff.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
Qualifications
Proven experience in restaurant management or bar management roles.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices.
Previous supervisory experience in a food service environment is essential.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality.
Proficient in cash handling procedures and financial reporting.
Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred.
Experience in the food industry, including kitchen experience or barista experience, is a plus.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
