We are looking for a professional, high-energy Bar Manager with excellent communication skills to oversee our cocktail focused bar program at True Wild Distilling. The Bar Manager is responsible for all aspects of the bar operation including managing the bar inventory and ordering supplies; planning, scheduling and executing prep; training new bartenders; creating unique cocktails and special drink recipes; conducting tours and tastings; hosting classes and educational seminars; active floor management - including during events, addressing customers' complaints and queries in a swift, courteous manner.
To succeed in this role, you should have a neat appearance and an engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable. Able to implement measures to control costs and improve profitability.
Responsibilities:
Menu Development, including recipes, garnishes and presentation specs.
Recruiting, selection, inducting, training and mentoring new staff members.
Welcoming customers, educating guests on True Wild's products and making recommendations.
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Tours and tasting.
Bar Prep scheduling & Follow-up.
Conducting briefings with service staff prior to each service.
Monitoring and reenforcing True Wild's standards of service.
Follow bar control procedures.
Conducting regular inventory and troubleshooting.
Purchasing.
Storage Room & Fridge maintenance.
Opening & Closing Checklists.
Opening and closing the restaurant.
Requirements:
Previous supervisory experience within a restaurant.
Proficiency in bartending techniques and drink preparation.
Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations.
ProServe certified.
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong task and time management abilities.
Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
