Overview

The Banquet Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of events within our establishment. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of banquet operations, including food preparation, service, and team management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry and demonstrate exceptional leadership and customer service skills. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing staff, coordinating with kitchen operations, and ensuring that guests have a memorable dining experience.

Duties

Oversee banquet operations from planning to execution, ensuring all events run smoothly. Supervise and train staff in food handling, serving techniques, and customer service standards. Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate food preparation and presentation for events. Manage inventory and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed. Conduct interviews and assist in hiring new team members as needed. Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during events. Utilize POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and tracking sales.

Skills

Strong experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or hotel environment. Proven supervisory experience with a focus on team management and leadership. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems. Background in restaurant management or kitchen experience is highly desirable. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience as a barista is a plus, enhancing our beverage service offerings.
