The Banquet Captain is responsible for assisting in overseeing all duties related to the event planning process.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the event during execution, leading the banquet team members at individual events as well as interacting with clients to ensure the completion of a successful event.

Ability to work under deadlines, work under pressure and deal with stressful situations while remaining calm and composed.
Must be extremely organized, detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities.
Ability to work variable shifts (day time, evenings and weekends) that are event dependent.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Adept with email, computer-based calendars and spreadsheets.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher).
Duties:
Lead and work alongside Director of Food & Beverage as well as Food & Beverage team members.
Set up and conduct ballroom tours for clients wanting to book events at Four Points.(ie. weddings, anniversaries, baby showers, etc.)
Coordinate and be on site for ceremony rehearsals plus be the ceremony contact the day of.
Qualifications:
Previous event planning experience in the hospitality industry an asset, or, if you have the desire to learn and be part of a fun and exciting career, we will show you the way!
Friendly and customer service oriented.
Basic knowledge of catering practices an asset.
