Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Banquet Captain to oversee and coordinate banquet events at our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, ensuring that all events run smoothly and meet the high standards of our venue. This role requires a blend of restaurant management, food service expertise, and excellent communication skills to provide exceptional guest experiences.

Duties

Lead and manage banquet staff during events, ensuring all team members are performing their duties effectively. Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and presentation. Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including table arrangements, decorations, and audio/visual equipment. Monitor the dining experience, addressing any guest concerns or requests promptly. Train and mentor new staff members in food service protocols and hospitality standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization in banquet areas before, during, and after events. Collaborate with event planners to ensure all details are executed as planned. Assist with bartending duties as needed during events.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a leadership role within the food industry or hospitality sector. Strong knowledge of restaurant management practices and food preparation techniques. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in kitchen operations is a plus. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules. A passion for providing outstanding customer service in a banquet or hotel setting.
