Position Summary
- The Banquet Captain is responsible for maintaining the high service standards of the Delta Calgary Hotel. The Banquet Captain is responsible for organizing and carrying out the functions of the Banquet Department. These functions may include but are not limited to, staffing, scheduling, inventories, ordering, BEO updates, reviews and meetings. This role is also responsible for banquet invoice tracking, billing and review, , room set-up prep, room break-down prep, and other Banquet management related responsibilities.

Willing to work a variety of hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays based on the business needs- Flexibility is a requirement.

Directly supervises Banquet Servers, alone or in tandem with other Banquet Captains and the Banquet Supervisor or the Banquet Manager.
Experience:
High School Diploma required, certified post-secondary education in the hospitality field is preferred
Cash handling experience an asset
1 -3 years conference/ event/ banquet services experience
WHMIS Training an asset
First aid and CPR qualification are beneficial
Physical Requirements
:
Must be able to spend entire shifts either on their feet or walking, able to lift, push cart and carry objects, up to 50 lbs. several times throughout the day
Bend, stand, reach for extended periods of time, extensively throughout the day
