We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bakery Manager to oversee daily operations of our bakery. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing bakery staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality product offerings to meet customer expectations. The Bakery Manager will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment while ensuring operational efficiency and profitability.
Duties
Supervise daily bakery operations, including food preparation, baking, and presentation of baked goods
Manage and train bakery staff, including interviewing and onboarding new team members
Oversee food handling procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards
Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation
Operate Square POS for sales transactions and cash handling
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the bakery area in accordance with health codes
Monitor product quality and consistency, making adjustments as needed
Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Coordinate with cafe staff to ensure smooth workflow
Lead by example in hospitality, serving customers with professionalism and friendliness
Requirements
Proven experience in restaurant management, food service, or hospitality roles, preferably within the food industry or bakery environment
Supervising experience with strong team management skills
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
Familiarity with Micros POS or similar POS systems; cash handling experience is essential
Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on training, mentoring, and motivating staff
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Background in restaurant management or hotel experience is a plus; barista or food handling experience is advantageous
Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food quality and safety standards
Strong desire to live in a remote coastal town.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
