Overview

We are seeking an experienced Bakery Manager to lead our bakery operations to cover a Maternity Leave. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves overseeing daily bakery activities, managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality product offerings. The Bakery Manager will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment while ensuring operational excellence.

Duties

Supervise daily bakery operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation of baked goods Manage and train bakery staff to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of food safety and quality Oversee inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining proper stock levels Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely production of baked goods and other menu items Lead hiring processes including interviewing candidates to build a skilled team Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase sales and customer satisfaction Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming bakery environment

Experience

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service roles within the food industry Supervising experience in a restaurant, bakery, or hospitality setting is preferred Strong team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff effectively Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience interviewing and hiring staff
