Overview

To be responsible for assisting the Bakery Manager in the effective operation of the In Store Bakery Department and Commercial Bakery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

\xc2\xb7 Ensuring exceptional customer service is provided in a courteous manner to maintain our reputation for friendly, effective, and personalized experience.

\xc2\xb7 To take an active role in directing the production, merchandising and ordering of raw materials for the In Store Bakery department;

\xc2\xb7 To direct and supervise department staff in the absence of the Bakery Manager;

\xc2\xb7 To assist in the training of all new employees;

\xc2\xb7 To be responsible for the opening and/or closing functions of the department;

\xc2\xb7 To be effective in determining priorities and delegating work to department staff;

\xc2\xb7 To maintain a well-organized production area, backroom area and retail floor;

\xc2\xb7 To assist in ordering and merchandising of commercial bread;

\xc2\xb7 To assist in ordering, receiving and managing inventory;

\xc2\xb7 To adhere to the \xe2\x80\x9cRecipe for Success\xe2\x80\x9d In Store Bakery Program;

\xc2\xb7 Other duties, as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate Would Possess:

\xc2\xb7 Exceptional customer service skills

\xc2\xb7 Flexibility to work a variety of hours which include days, evenings, nights and weekends;

\xc2\xb7 Minimum 4-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 previous work experience, either as a qualified Baker or Decorator in a retail environment;

\xc2\xb7 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

\xc2\xb7 Some managerial experience a definite asset.
