Part-Time Contract Baker or Pastry Chef (Asian / Filipino Baked Goods)

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced baker specializing in Asian or Filipino baked goods and pastries to join our cafe on a part-time contract basis on weekend overnight shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM). Applicants must have prior experience as a professional baker or pastry chef in a commercial kitchen, and have enough proficiency and experience to work independently.

Responsibilities:

Prepare a variety of yeast-based bread and pastries (bread rolls, shiopan, etc) Assemble, and package products for sale or delivery Handle food products safely, following proper hygiene practices at all times Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas in compliance with food safety regulations

Skills/Qualifications:

Professional experience as a baker of pastry chef in a commercial kitchen, bakery, or cafe Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment Educational background in culinary or pastry Food safe certification Canadian citizenship or valid work permit Have reliable transportation Proficient in English Weekend availability
