Responsibilities and Duties
Reporting to the direct supervisor, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Devoting your attention and efforts to the affair of the pastry department the shop and the company
Uphold all sanitation and hygiene standards; be clean and presentable at all times
Promote and maintain a cohesive teamwork environment which promotes development
Understands and maintains Health and Safety Policies in a safe and injury free workplace by following Occupational Health & Safety standards, Safe Work Practices, complying to all sanitation and Equipment Safety Checklist for operation and maintenance, WHMIS
Prepare and facilitate the Pastry shop orientation that includes recipe standards, safety procedures
Maintain fresh ingredients with proper rotation
Understands and complies with employment harassment policies
Able to push and pull heavy carts, lift boxes and bags of 50 pounds, reach for boxes, stand on feet for duration of their shift
All actions while on-premises or off-premises while representing Yann Haute Patisserie or its principles remain professional, courteous and respectful. This includes interaction with customers, suppliers and employees.
Qualifications and Skills
Previous experience working in a fast paced, bakery environment
Proven organizational skills
Knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations is required
Demonstrates a genuine passion for baking
Flexible to the demands of the business
Excellent communication skills are required
Previous experience working in a quality pastry shop or bakery is required
