We are seeking a skilled Artisan to join our bakery team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a particular focus on all aspects of bread production, including scaling, maintaining a sourdough starter, mixing and baking. This position is an early morning position starting at 6am. Weekend availability is required.
Duties
Prepare and bake a variety of breads
Proofing, scoring and baking bread ensuring visual appeal, consistency and quality.
Assist in food preparation tasks, including measuring ingredients and mixing doughs.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, following all food safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production flow
Follow all food handling guidelines to ensure the safety and quality of products.
Skills
Previous experience with breads in a commercial environment
Experience in food production and preparation within a bakery environment
Strong baking skills
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in the bakery.
Ability to lift flour bags of up to 50 pounds
Good communication skills and ability to work with a team
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
