:ATCO Frontec is seeking a Baker to join our kitchen team at the Elk Valley Lodge in Elkford, BC. We\'re looking for a team player who knows their way around the kitchen and can satisfy a sweet tooth! As the Baker, you will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of baked goods at the project, including scratch and par-baking.

• Kitchen Responsibilities: Use standardized recipes to handle and prepare a large amount and variety of baked goods required for the daily menu and catered events, ensuring adequate amounts are produced for the number of guests in attendance, with a focus on quality and appearance.
• Inventory control: Order food inventory as required to maintain costs, supervise production amounts, and stock levels in all serving areas, while minimizing leftovers and product waste.
• Leadership: Train and direct food service workers and meet daily with the Baker\'s Helper to discuss menu preparation, production strategy and inventory.
• Safety and Sanitization: Operate equipment, handle food, and clean the kitchen, utensils, and equipment according to established policies and safety procedures. This includes ensuring that all prepared products are accurately recorded on daily kitchen logs for hot and cold holding, proper labeling, temperature logs and daily cleaning schedules.

What you bring:

• Cake mixes? You would never! This role requires 2-3 years of experience baking in large quantities and creativity with big batch scratch baking.
• You have completed a college or other post-secondary program in cooking, Baker Red Seal certification is an asset.
• An Advanced Food Safe Certificate is required.
• You can juggle more than just dinner rolls, you work well under pressure and can prioritize and multitask.

Compensation:

• Base wage: $22.00/h + opportunity for overtime
