Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to join the Butter Bay Pastry House team! This Pastry Chef will be responsible for preparing a variety of croissants, danishes, turnovers, and other pastries in a fast-paced and professional kitchen setting.

Duties
- Prepare a wide range of pastries using advanced pastry techniques. Especially with respect to butter-based dough techniques.
- Bake, decorate, and fill pastries on a large-scale production level.
- Package and present baked goods in a creative and consistent manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times.
- Adhere to food safety standards according to the Simcoe-Muskoka District Health Unit Food Safety Guidelines.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create new pastry items and revise techniques.

- Willing to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a pastry kitchen. Formal pastry and culinary education is strongly encouraged.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and baking equipment.
- Familiarity with pastry processes including various fermentation, folding, and decorating methods.
- Understanding of food safety regulations.
- Strong baking skills and creativity in pastry making.
- Customer service skills to interact with staff and customers.

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
