POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Program Supervisor Children, Youth, & Events, the babysitter is responsible for providing a safe, fun environment for children to play in.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Be responsible for the safety, discipline and activities for all of the children. Communicate in a positive and friendly manner to the children and parents. Adhere to the rules and staff code of behaviour. Approved clothing and name tag must be worn. Enforce all Complex rules and regulations with respect to staff and users. Change diapers. Organize small group activities. Request necessary supplies and equipment and report need for maintenance or repair. Attend staff meetings. Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum age of 16. Must have experience working with children.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Must undergo a successful Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC); Must obtain 1st Aid and 2 Person CPR within three months of employment; Must obtain WHMIS and Customer Service Training.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Part time (not to exceed 24 hours per week) Times: 8:45am to 9:00pm Dates: Monday to Saturday May have to work flexible hours
