About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and bilingual
B2B Sales Consultant (Japanese-Speaking)
to lead our business development and partner engagement efforts across Japan. The main goal of this role is to build strong partnerships with local schools, cram schools, kindergartens, and companies to promote Life Journey's study abroad programs and increase student referrals.
Key ResponsibilitiesB2B Development & Relationship Building
Approach and establish partnerships with:
Elementary schools, junior high schools, high schools
Kindergartens and international schools
Language schools and cram schools (?)
Colleges, universities, and corporate training centers
Secure partnership agreements, referral relationships, or joint program initiatives.
Sales & Program Promotion
Promote Life Journey's core offerings, including:
International summer camps (Canada, France, Japan)
Parent-child study abroad programs
Boarding school placements
Global internship and co-op programs
Conduct Zoom consultations, in-person school visits, and information sessions for teachers, principals, and student counselors.
Event Participation & Partner Engagement
Represent Life Journey at educational fairs, industry events, and school briefings (e.g., CPF Tokyo, CAIS B2B, ST fairs).
Build and maintain long-term partnerships through regular communication and collaborative projects.
Market Analysis & Reporting
Conduct local market research to identify school and institutional needs.
Gather feedback and report trends to optimize marketing and service strategies.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Required
:
Native Japanese speaker with fluent English
At least 2 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or the education industry
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Deep understanding of the Japanese education system and local school culture
Self-driven, organized, and able to work independently
Preferred
:
Existing network in Japanese private schools, language schools, or cram schools
Experience working in a bilingual or international work environment
Familiarity with tools like Google Workspace, Asana, and Canva
Ability to travel domestically for school visits and events
