*Our client is a global programmatic media partner for marketers and agencies providing AdTech solutions.**This is a contract position (3 months) with a strong possibility for conversion to a permanent position.Position Overview:We are looking for a B2B Marketing Manager to join the Canadian Marketing team on a 3-month contract.The ideal candidate will have experience in the media/advertising industry, with a solid understanding of client-agency relationships and the intricacies of vendor-client engagements. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for various marketing initiatives, including client events, newsletters, and PR activities while reporting to the SVP of Commercial Operations.This role is hybrid with an events component to it, which happens mostly in Toronto.Responsibilities:

  • Planning and executing various owned events (catering to 200-300 attendees) from major tent pole events to smaller-scale event activations, to sponsorships and education seminars; liaising with all vendors and being the day-to-day contact.
  • Scoping new event relationships with vertical associations and keeping on top of what\'s hot in the industry.
  • Manage marketing collateral, including newsletters and promotional materials while working closely with in-house designers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of marketing initiatives with company objectives.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and partners as needed.
  • Manage PR activities, including press releases and media relations.
  • Collaborate with marketing interns for event planning and execution support.
  • Last but not least, we want you to foster a culture of innovation within the team, encouraging new ideas and solutions that help us improve client experience.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • +5 years of experience in marketing, preferably within the media/advertising industry.
  • Strong understanding of client-agency dynamics and vendor-client relationships.
  • Proven experience in planning and executing large client events.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively identify relevant stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and marketing software/tools.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Success in the role:
  • Having worked in B2B marketing will be key in understanding the role quickly.
  • Experienced in developing and managing PR initiatives, marketing projects, as well as media relations.
  • Having previous exposure to digital media or the ad-tech space will help you ramp up faster in this role.
  • Agility and the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads is critical.
  • You will work alongside a product marketing manager, however, being able to problem-solve autonomously will help you succeed.
