What is the opportunity?

RBC Cards Marketing is seeking a data-driven, detail oriented Marketer to assist in implementing Direct marketing campaigns for Retail Credit Cards. You will play an integral role in creative development and campaign execution for critical programs that deliver Acquisition, Engagement and Onboarding results.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, Retail Cards, the successful candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment where creative testing, outside of the box thinking and applying insights are essential.

Please note this is a 12-month contract opportunity.

What will you do?

• Manage the execution of direct marketing plans through targeted channels such as direct mail, email and digital marketing
• Grow collaborative working relationships with cross-functional marketing groups, Marketing Science and the business unit to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and meet objectives
• Manage the internal approval process to ensure high-quality and bold creative
• Develop and manage timelines for all assigned initiatives
• Positively contribute to the marketing team culture and our overall impact on business results

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Post-secondary degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field
• 1+ years of experience working in a marketing, branding or advertising role in a corporate environment or agency

Strong project and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment

• Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A creative eye combined with meticulous attention to detail
• Positive upbeat professional and responsible attitude; independent and self-directed with a strong ability to work collaboratively

Nice-to-have

• Experience in large matrix organizations
• Partner management experience
• Experience with direct marketing
