Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team for Laredo (TX) runs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, as well as the ability to operate heavy equipment and perform basic automotive repairs when necessary. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a commercial truck to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload freight, utilizing forklifts and other equipment as needed. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked, mileage, and fuel consumption. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on the truck to ensure optimal performance. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while on the road.

Requirements

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience in freight transportation and heavy equipment operation is preferred. Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus. Basic knowledge of automotive repair to address minor vehicle issues as they arise. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. Ability to manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
