Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting goods to various destinations. This role requires operating heavy vehicles and may involve the use of forklifts and other heavy equipment. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of freight during transit.

Responsibilities

Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload freight, utilizing forklifts and other equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while on the road. Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the vehicle as needed.

Skills

Proficient in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License). Experience in operating forklifts and heavy equipment is preferred. Strong understanding of freight handling procedures. Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on trucks. Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Attention to detail for maintaining accurate delivery records and ensuring cargo safety.
