Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering freight to various locations. This role requires a keen understanding of commercial driving regulations, as well as the ability to operate heavy equipment and perform basic automotive repairs when necessary.

Duties

Safely operate a commercial truck to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on the vehicle to ensure optimal performance. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations. Experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment is preferred. Basic knowledge of automotive repair techniques is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while on the road.
