Job Description

W.D. Potato Ltd is seeking an experienced Truck Driver with an AZ Licence to join our team in Beeton, Ontario. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of products to various destinations.

Responsibilities:

Operate company-owned trucks to deliver products to designated locations Plan routes and make sure that they are followed in a timely and safe manner Maintain accurate logs of working hours, mileage, and fuel consumption Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies and procedures Load and unload potatoes Maintain communication with dispatchers, other drivers, and customers as needed Follow delivery schedules and adjust routes as needed Complete all necessary paperwork Operate other equipment as needed
Qualifications:

Must have a valid AZ Licence At least 2 years of commercial driving experience A clean driving abstract Ability to read and follow maps and GPS directions Familiarity with DOT regulations and safety standards Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Good communication skills and customer service skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team Must be reliable, punctual, and responsible Must have a positive attitude and be willing to learn Must be able to load own trailer with conveyor system
