Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage freight effectively.

Duties

Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport freight between locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other equipment as needed. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and other necessary documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all local, provincial, and federal transportation regulations. Perform minor automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.

Skills

Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards. Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, including forklifts. Experience in freight handling and logistics management. Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting vehicle issues on the road. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently. Strong communication skills to interact with team members and clients effectively.
