We are seeking an AZ Truck Driver to join our Ottawa team to support our tool crib warehouse. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in starting a career in the construction industry. This role will give you the opportunity to learn from and work with experienced drivers, inventory and tool managers, purchasers, and more!

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the site foreman to inspect items for quality control and manage work orders
  • Load, unload, and deliver construction tools, equipment, and prefab (Plumbing, heating, and sheet metal) to job sites within the Ottawa/Gatineau region
  • Up to 4-8 deliveries per day to major construction sites including hospitals, schools, commercial buildings, etc.
  • Adhere to delivery and maintenance procedures and ensures equipment and truck are in good working condition. Maintains delivery vehicles to ensure safe operation
  • Inspect items for quality control and defects
  • Pick tool/equipment orders and stage for shipping
  • May perform other duties as required
Qualifications and Job Requirements:
  • Must hold a valid AZ license with a clean driver\xe2\x80\x99s abstract and 3+ years of verifiable driving experience
  • Ability to regularly lift heavy objects (75-100 lbs.)
  • Forklift or ZoomBoom license would be considered an asset
  • Experience in a shop and with truck driving
  • Preferably a background in the construction industry and tool processing
  • Excellent problem solving, decision making, and organization skills
  • A self-starter with a dedicated work ethic, who can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Desire and ability to foster a safe, positive, and productive shop environment
