Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Local Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials within designated local routes while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, and must be able to cross border ,adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to handle various types of freight.

Duties

Operate company vehicles to transport freight and materials safely and efficiently. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Load and unload goods, utilizing forklifts and other heavy equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate delivery logs and reports, ensuring compliance with company policies. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.

Skills

Proficiency in commercial driving with a valid driver's license. Knowledge of freight handling procedures and best practices. Basic automotive repair skills to address minor vehicle issues on the road. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills for interaction with team members and clients. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
