What your average day will look like

Leadership. Credit management. Business growth. Networking. Compliance strategist.

Leadership for the Account Management team within the Calgary market. The role adjudicates loans within discretionary limits and is responsible for ensuring the Team\xe2\x80\x99s credit portfolio remains within CWB\xe2\x80\x99s credit risk appetite. The role holder is a fully experienced, qualified credit professional, capable of independent activity and leadership of a team. They will implement credit policies, conduct credit reviews and ensure that the approval procedures, standards of credit control and portfolio maintenance conform to controls/ procedures established by the credit risk management team for the business.

Who you are & what you bring

Foundational knowledge and experience

A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in commerce, finance or accounting subject areas with 10 years of experience within risk management, banking and/or real estate lending including direct experience leading people and managing teams

Financially savvy. You\xe2\x80\x99ve garnered strong credit and real estate and/or commercial lending experience that has allowed you to plan, execute and develop strategies that have resulted in you hitting your, and your team\xe2\x80\x99s, targets and business goals out of the financial institution park.

Active learner & knowledge keeper. You commit to growing your knowledge & expertise, staying abreast of relevant industry trends and enhancements. You will provide knowledge, expertise & coaching in areas like risk assessment, credit underwriting, credit structuring and credit presentation skills \xe2\x80\x93 delivering results effectively and efficiently.

Compliance and risk specialist. You will lead a variety of tasks from managing credit activities to running operations to ensuring compliance regimens and risk management strategies implemented.

Operationally sound. You\xe2\x80\x99re all about seeing your team succeed and reach their achievements and successes. Emphasises operational improvement, consistent workflows & ongoing training & development.

Trusted partner. As respected & regarded credit professional, your day will include multiple tasks such as leading your team, implementing credit policies, conducting credit analysis and ensuring that approval procedures are put into place for clients and the client relationship team. Your judgement & decision making is relied upon.
