The AVP, Identity and Access Management will lead Aviva Canada's Identity and Access Management (IAM) function from both a strategic and operational level. As the leader of the IAM function reporting to the CISO, the vision and development of Aviva Canada's strategic IAM roadmap is in your hands. At the same time, you will continue to ensure the day-to-day running of the IAM function while refining and maturing its operation. Key stakeholders and collaboration partners will include the CIO, CISO, Architecture, business leaders, and the rest of the IT Senior Leadership team.
The role is a hybrid with in-office presence primarily based out of our Markham office, with time also spent at our downtown Toronto / Oakville offices.
What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible to:Manage a team of Identity and Access Management (IAM) professionals working to ensure the optimal operation of existing IAM processes and technologies such as provisioning/IGA, PAM, CIAM, re-certification, access governance. Mature the IAM Roadmap for Aviva Canada through: + Determining the processes and technologies required for Aviva to succeed in an ever-changing IAM and cyber threat landscape.
+ Liaising with both IT and business stakeholders to incorporate their requirements into the roadmap fulfilling the requirements of all stakeholders.
+ Socializing the roadmap and obtaining buy-in from key stakeholders to execute on roadmap.
+ Ultimately deploying/updating requisite processes and systems to appropriately manage identity within Aviva.
Partner with key business and IT stakeholders to implement new, and improve existing IAM processes at Aviva to deliver optimal quality of IAM services to Aviva stakeholders. Develop and refine governance activities around the IAM function. Where required, drive the documentation of standards and best practices to be disseminated throughout the rest of the organization to support your mandate. Identify gaps in existing processes and solutions then develop remediation plans to address such gaps with the development/re-design of processes or deployment of solutions Develop and refine service metrics, KPIs and KRIs for required IAM processes and systems. Ensure that all IAM processes are optimized through the use of technology, automation, and plain old common sense. Manage the periodic re-certification processes of access throughout the Aviva Canada estate. Continue personal professional development as an IAM subject-matter expert, including industry training, developing relationships with peers in industry, attending conferences, and self-study. Train, coach, and mentor a growing IAM team to support the requirements of Aviva Canada, and to develop the careers of your team to lead them to bigger and better things.

What you'll bringMinimum 10 years Cybersecurity/Information Security experience. Experience in delivering IAM transformation (eg. process re-engineering, PAM, CIAM, IGA, IAM Governance). Experience managing a team of IAM professionals from both delivery and operational perspectives. Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Strong relationship management skills. Ability to understand various stakeholder objectives while driving towards an outcome that appropriately manages Aviva Canada's cybersecurity risk from an IAM perspective. Multi-tasking on multiple projects and tasks with contending priorities in a fast-paced environment. Sees the benefits of automation and has experience in automating repetitive work that lends itself to being automated. Experience in deploying and managing Customer Identity Access Management (CIAM) solutions such as Okta, Ping, etg. Experience in deploying and managing Identity Governance and Administration solutions such as Sailpoint, Savyint, etc. Experience in deploying and managing Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions such as CyberArk, Beyond Trust, etc. Experience/knowledge IAM related technologies (Active Directory, ISAM, LDAP, M365, MFA, CyberArk, Beyond Trust, PAM, SSO, Oauth, SAML, PKI) Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong delivery skills - the ability to take a problem from start to finish and drive towards the desired outcome. An interest in digital/cybersecurity - the desire and openness to upskill as required to stay pace with the current cyber threat landscape.
