As the Associate Vice President of Home Pricing, you will lead the efforts in delivering industry-leading pricing and segmentation strategies that drive sustainable, profitable underwriting results and optimize growth across channels. This role will collaborate with various departments to drive business outcomes using pricing expertise, lead and influence decisions and strategies to meet corporate financial targets, and develop foundational pricing practices to support the Pricing Alliance business units. You will also deliver cutting-edge geospatial solutions to all pricing teams.

How you will create impact:



Provide forward-thinking leadership that fosters accountability and professional development. Develop strategies to attract, mobilize, develop, and retain a highly diverse, qualified, and engaged team to meet current and future business needs. Formulate and develop comprehensive pricing strategies that align with broader corporate objectives. Lead the development and implementation of pricing and rate-setting frameworks for various products. Oversee the management of the home insurance book of business, ensuring the successful delivery of profitable growth solutions and profitable underwriting results. Utilize advanced analytics and actuarial techniques to develop growth and profitability strategies. Lead the development of rate inputs for yearly financial planning, ensuring alignment across business lines. Engage and influence stakeholders in rate decisions, and ensure the reasonableness of financial planning assumptions and projections. Ensure that models and pricing solutions are developed, documented, reviewed, approved, and implemented according to standards and best practices. Partner with various departments to drive business results using pricing expertise. Lead and influence decisions and strategies to achieve corporate financial targets. Lead and engage your team to deliver strategic objectives through effective coaching and mentoring, identifying and developing emerging talent, and fostering an innovative, collaborative, and agile culture.

To join our team:




You have 7 + years of progressive people leadership experience in an actuarial pricing capacity You have a post-secondary degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related discipline. Having the Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) designation would be an asset Bilingualism (French/English) would be considered an asset You have a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with business unit operations and executives This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Quebec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.
