About the Role

We're looking for a skilled and motivated Residential Home Automation Integrator to join our growing team. This is a hands-on, construction-based role focused on installing and commissioning smart home systems -- NICE/ELAN, lighting control, networking, and distributed audio/video.

If you've worked in residential construction, electrical, or low-voltage installation, we want to hear from you. Electricians, apprentices, and technicians with wiring or troubleshooting experience will find their skills transfer naturally to this field.

While experience in home automation or residential integration is preferred, we're happy to train the right candidate with strong problem-solving ability, job site awareness, and a desire to learn cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities

Run low voltage wiring for technology to be installed within the home (Speakers, security contacts, cameras, etc...) Install, configure, and troubleshoot technology within the home Ensure installations meet quality and industry standards Maintain a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence

Location

Work is primarily in new-construction and finished residential homes throughout the Ottawa area. Occasional day trips (1-2 hours away) may be required, with full travel compensation provided.

Qualifications

Ideal Experience:

Hands-on experience with smart home platforms (NICE/ELAN, Control4, Savant, etc.) Familiarity with AV systems, networking, and residential technology integration Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for technology

Open to Training:

If you have a background in IT, electrical work, or AV tech and are eager to dive into home automation, we'll provide training to bridge the gap!

Must Have:

Valid Driver's License Strong communication skills in English (other languages are a bonus) Previous job site experience
