Job Summary

Kanata Mazda is looking for a automotive apprentice technician to help us continue growing our service business. As the Automotive apprentice Technician you will be responsible for the complete maintenance needs of our client's vehicles. In our fast paced service department your ability to multi-task and work under deadlines will allow you to succeed in this position. Our mandate to perform at high levels is directly related to our talented team of professionals, and we're looking for more great people to join our team and have availability to work Monday through Friday and occasionally Saturdays.

Job Functions:

Perform work as described on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Mazda factory and Mazda standards. Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions and recommend/perform appropriate repairs. Examine vehicles to identify necessary repair or maintenance items that may not be included on the repair order and communicate to Service Advisor. Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain needed parts. Notify Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined on repair order is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed by the time promised. Clearly and accurately document all work performed. Road test vehicles. Attend and successfully complete factory training as required by Mazda Canada. Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins. Follow warranty material disposition procedures. Understand and follow federal, provincial and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

Must have a valid G driver's license.

Must be able to provide a driver's abstract

Must provide their own tools

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
