Overview


Revolution Chevrolet, GMC & Buick is seeking a skilled Apprentice Automotive Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, customer service skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties



Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various vehicles such as oil changes, fluid level checks, tire installation and rotation, ensuring all work meets safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for tasks such as assembly, disassembly, and repair of automotive components. Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics , diagnostic equipment, and technical manuals to identify necessary repairs. Be able to explain automotive repairs and issues with customers. Plan repair procedures using charts, manuals and experience. Test the functionality of parts and systems. Repair and replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors and other parts. Maintain accurate records of services performed and communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle's condition and needed repairs. Keep work area clean and organized. Assist in heavy lifting of automotive parts and equipment as required. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements



Apprenticeship certification or Journeyman certification preferred. Valid driver's license with clean driver's abstract. Previous experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic is essential; dealership experience is preferred.

2 years preferred

. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance. General Motor experience is an asset (training & support can be made available). Experience with suspension components including installation. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to read and interpret schematics related to automotive systems. Coachable and open to continuous learning opportunities. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Capability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily responsibilities. A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Job Types: Permanent, Apprenticeship

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
