He or she promotes customer satisfaction and retention and growth of existing and new business. In addition, the Store Manager owns overall operations in terms of cost control, inventory management, environmental compliance, and most importantly, safety. He or she provides strong and consistent leadership to cultivate and maintain a harmonious, collaborative, and highly productive work culture.ResponsibilitiesAs a Midas Store Manager, you will manage and direct all automotive and general service technicians in the operation of the shop, including:
Deliver exceptional customer service while listening and consulting customers
Following up with customers, services requested, estimated completion times etc.
Oversee complete vehicle inspections and then make comprehensive recommendationsxe2x80x94building computerized repair orders and sourcing parts
Deliver and discuss pricing estimates with customers as well as promote shop service specials
Lead, manage, and train team while keeping in tune with our companies vision, purpose, core values, and employee creed.
Oversee all sales, accounting and clerical functions from Service Advisors or Assistant Store Manager
Oversee technicians inspections, diagnosing and repairing of domestic, European and Asian cars and light trucks
Maintain inventory counts and competitively manage procurement among supplier
Responsible and accountable for any inventory losses, warranty losses, property damage and theft.
Overall cleanliness and organization of the facility, including environmental and OH&S compliance
Employees payroll; record-keeping of hours and scheduling. Ensuring store is open as per the broadcasted hours
Updating and submitting daily, weekly, monthly and yearly sales reports to Corporate
Stay on top of all Midas promotional offers and leverage to drive sales growth
Qualifications
A minimum of 10 years of store or service manager experience.
Excellent automotive knowledge
Must have interprovincial automotive red seal license
Excellent customer service disposition
Must be flexible working in the shop to grow business sales and execution
Excellent communication skills
Strong computer and Internet skills. Knowledge of Stocktrac POS software will be an asset
Leadership ability
Team-building skills
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekend evenings etc.
Valid drivers license
Key performance indicator for a seasoned manager includes with an entrepreneurial spirit who will assume responsibility for operations, financial performance, morale, and growth initiatives. The ideal candidate for this position has a University/College degree or some mechanical / automotive coursework (preferred) or Red Seal Mechanic License, three years of experience in the automotive repair business, supervisory/management/mentor experience, a continuous improvement background, and exceptional interpersonal skills.Compensation
It will be based on skills and experiences.
Compensation includes basic salary, bi-weekly sales bonus, and yearly discretionary bonus. Calculations of bonus will include profit margin, sales growth, and total bi-weekly sales.
