Valley Auto Repair is currently looking for an Automotive Service Technician to join their team. This individual will be bright, friendly and organized. Must be able to effectively communicate to the Service Advisors the parts and time of completion on repairs. This individual is someone who enjoys working in a team environment, is
mechanically inclined, takes pride in going above and beyond with their work, and is

Responsibilities:
Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor
Inspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicle, and test automotive
systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing
devices to diagnose and isolate faults
Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems
including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive
train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and
electrical and electronic systems using hand tools and other specialized
automotive repair equipment
Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's performance
specifications
Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications,
and tune ups
Advise service advisors on work performed, general vehicle condition and
future repair requirements.
Assemble mechanical components according to specifications.
Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records.Perform vehicle assessments and alert clients on issues that will prohibit their
vehicles from passing inspection
Requirements:
Graduated from a Canadian Automotive Apprentice program. (ex. Automotive
Technician Apprentice Level 1, 2, 3 or 4) or holds a Red Seal certificate in
Automotive.
Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast-paced environment.
May lift objects that weigh as much as 60 lbs.
Ability to use diagnostic equipment.
Good hand-eye coordination.
In-depth knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment and mechanical
systems.
Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Commercial Vehicle Inspector Certificate an asset
Valid/Clean Drivers License
Own basic tools/Tool chest
Drivers License - Required
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and
inspections.
Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
Must be able to lift 60 pounds at a time.
