Empirical Auto Care is a locally owned, team-focused automotive repair shop in Langford, BC. We are currently seeking skilled Automotive Technician to join our service team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles with a focus on quality workmanship and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in automotive repair, strong mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with various tools and schematics. Monday to Friday
4 Ten's shift (Monday-Thursday OR Tuesday-Friday) 3 Day weekends* No weekends
Extended long weekends
Closed on statutory holidays
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on vehicles, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs efficiently and safely
Interpret schematics and technical manuals to accurately identify issues and solutions
Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
Assist with vehicle assembly and component installation as needed
Maintain detailed records of repairs and services performed for each vehicle
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and recommendations clearly to clients
Requirements
Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic; General repair on multiple makes & models experience is a plus
Minimum 3-5 Years Mechanical Experience
Journeyman/Red seal Preferred
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics
Own Tools & Equipment required to perform general repairs
Ability to lift heavy parts or equipment safely (heavy lifting)
Experience with automotive repair, maintenance, and assembly processes
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills for interacting with team members and customers
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
