Revolution Chevrolet GMC & Buick is seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose issues and perform repairs efficiently. This role requires a combination of mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience, and excellent customer service skills to ensure a high level of satisfaction for our clients.
Duties
Perform diagnostics and repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire installations & rotations, and fluid checks.
Interpret schematics, technical manuals and charts to troubleshoot vehicle issues accurately.
Assemble and disassemble vehicle components including suspension installation as needed for repair or replacement.
Be able to explain automotive repairs and issues with customers.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs and repair options.
Assist in heavy lifting when necessary for parts installation or removal.
Oher duties as assigned.
Experience
Possess an Alberta Journeyman Certificate to perform work duties.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
General Motor experience will be an asset (training and support available)
Valid driver's license for local travel with a clean driver's abstract.
Must read, interpret and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various automotive systems.
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and performing heavy lifting tasks safely.
May be required to lift objects weighing as much as 50 lbs.
Understanding of automotive air-conditioning systems.
Ability to use the diagnostic equipment.
Experience with heavy equipment in diesel mechanic, diesel knowledge, or can be trained.
