Northern Technology Inc. is a mid-sized manufacturing company located in the north east end of Scarborough that specializes in plastic injection molding. We are currently seeking an experienced, hands-on Quality Manager with Automotive Industry experience. This position requires a candidate that will hold a presence on the plant floor daily, interacting and coordinating with the production and quality teams to ensure that customer requirements are met. The incumbent will be responding to emails, conference calls and phone calls with customers, and will be required to complete customer forms, surveys and questionnaires. The incumbent will also be required to travel to various Customer locations within the GTA from time to time.
- MUST HAVE Automotive and Injection Moulding experience *3+ yrs experience
- Must have experience supervising 3 or more Quality Technicians
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with engineering to establish quality requirements from customers as well as external suppliers.
Establishing, implementing and maintaining company's QMS, procedures, standards and specifications in accordance to ISO 9001:2015 and IATF.
Conducting internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations, and addressing non-conformities.
Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff.
Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures.
Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
Analyzing production processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions.
Able to conduct Corrective action 8D investigation and responses to customer complaints, perform follow-up at customer locations, and coordinating action plans.
Ensure that non-conformances of processes and products are recorded, communicated, tracked, resolved, and further prevented.
Preparation of PPAP documentation (FMEA, IMDS, Control Plans, Dimensional Reports)
Coordinate CMMs with external laboratories and interpret reports.
Ability to read and interpret GD&T documents with ease and produce dimensional reports.
Develop and maintain continuous improvement initiatives in order to reduce errors and increase productivity.
Strong Lean Methodology knowledge, coupled with proven implementation of lean initiatives.

Pay: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
