Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive parts sales and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. As a Parts Advisor, you will be responsible for assisting customers in identifying and purchasing the correct parts for their vehicles, ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish.

Employment Hours

Status: Full-Time

Days: Monday to Friday

Hours: 7:30AM to 5:15PM

Daily Break: 60-Minutes

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating the appropriate automotive parts.

Utilize your expertise to provide accurate information regarding parts availability, pricing, and specifications.

Negotiate pricing and terms with customers to ensure satisfaction while maintaining profitability.

Process orders efficiently, including cash handling and transaction management.

Maintain an organized inventory of parts, ensuring that stock levels are monitored and replenished as needed.

Collaborate with service technicians to understand their parts needs for repairs and maintenance.

Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.

Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and dealership promotions to effectively inform customers.

Requirements

Valid and Active Ontario Drivers License (G2+)

Previous experience in retail sales or customer service, preferably within the automotive industry.

Strong math skills for accurate pricing and inventory management.

Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to handle customer objections professionally.

Familiarity with automotive repair processes is highly desirable.

Experience in sales management is a plus.

Bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customers.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and team members.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform repetitious duties including: regularly lift up to 25 lbs., sit, bend and stand for long periods of time

Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs., climb or balance, kneel or crouch, and reach to retrieve parts.

Specific vision abilities required include: ability to identify parts, operate systems, and identify potential safety hazards in the parts department.

Valid driver's license in the country in which you are applying, 2-year minimum driving record required with a clean driving history

Education:

High School diploma or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability, Associate's or Bachelor's degree or certificate preferred

Proven work experience as a Parts Advisor within a fast-paced automotive organization

Possession of a forklift certificate is highly desirable
