Job Description

The Northern New Brunswick Forest Operations Division is looking to fill an Auto Mechanic position with a reliable and motivated individual who demonstrates a positive attitude towards teamwork.

• Perform vehicle maintenance activities, including installation, repair, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance.
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance of equipment.
• Inspect and diagnose parts using computerized test equipment, calibration devices, gauges, etc.
• Repair and revise mechanical, hydraulic, and mobile pneumatic equipment.
• Comply with all established safety policies and standards, including the identification, use and appropriate procedures for handling or disposing of hazardous waste.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications:

• Education required: Automotive Mechanic Diploma (Bloc 2 and above)
• Years of experience required: 2 to 5 years.
• A Red Seal is considered an asset.
• Experience in welding and repair of heavy equipment is considered an asset.
• Must be able to work in a flexible, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment.
• Must be autonomous and thorough.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Be able to communicate in French.
• Meet JDI\xe2\x80\x99s selection criteria.
