Legacy Dodge Wetaskiwin is seeking an experienced and dynamic Automotive Finance Director to lead our finance department. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the dealership\xe2\x80\x99s finance and insurance (F&I) operations, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction while maximizing profitability. This role requires a deep understanding of automotive financing, compliance regulations, and the ability to build strong relationships with financial institutions and customers.Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Management:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the finance department, including staffing, training, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement effective F&I policies and procedures that comply with industry regulations and dealership goals.
  • Mentor and guide the finance team to ensure high performance and continuous professional development.
  • Collaborate with sales, service, and other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Financial Services:
  • Structure and present finance and insurance options to customers in a clear, professional, and ethical manner.
  • Work with customers to obtain necessary financing and insurance approvals, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and promptly.
  • Negotiate terms with financial institutions to secure the best financing options for customers.
  • Maximize profitability by selling additional products such as extended warranties, GAP insurance, and maintenance plans.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
  • Ensure all transactions comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including those related to privacy and consumer protection.
  • Monitor and manage the dealership\xe2\x80\x99s compliance with federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits of finance transactions and processes to minimize risk and ensure accuracy.
  • Customer Relations:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional service to ensure repeat business and referrals.
  • Handle customer inquiries and concerns related to finance and insurance in a timely and professional manner.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and excellent customer service.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
  • Analyze financial data and prepare regular reports on department performance, including profitability, customer satisfaction, and compliance.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for improvement, making data-driven decisions to enhance department efficiency and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to set and achieve financial goals for the dealership.
Qualifications:
  • Education & Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive finance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of automotive financing, insurance products, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven track record of success in F&I sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a customer-centric approach.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical business practices.
  • Proficient in finance-related software and dealership management systems (DMS).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
